| Accomodation for exhibitions |
| Hubert Carr Posted: 11-Dec-09 As a small outfit, attending exhibitions is very important, but can get very expensive if an overnight stay is involved. I would like to see a network of small traders who would put one another up for exhibitions in their area.I live in Leatherhead, just off the SW quadrant of the M25, and I would like to offer accomodation for traders attending model railway exhibitions in the Surrey and South London Area. In return I would like to find a host for exhibitions in the Midlands, North, Southwest, etc. As part of this sort of mutual arrangement, where anyone wants to get in to an exhibition, that they have not previously attended, it may be helpful to 'assist' someone else and share some space on their stand. Its really all a matter of chickens and eggs. |

This idea has been opperating between many traders on a personnel bases for some years and works very well!
At one annual show in East Anglia every year, I have about 12 - 15 extra people in my house from the trade for the duration of the show!
So yes I am all for this and would be pleased to help out any trader coming to my area.
